My answer to Do Asians bleach skin?

Yes and NO.

There are many whitening cosmetic products. I heard some whitening cosmetic products actually contain a substance that delays the production of melanin, the skin colour factor. The cosmetic will brightens your skin but don't bleach.

I am one of those pale Asians. Paler than average "white" people. I was kinda surprised to see how white people are't that white when I first landed to the states.

Seriously race doesn't determine the colour of your skin. It's the amount of sunlight and the amount of sunlight is determined by the earth's latitude.
