In Korea, you call your older sister and older brother, friends who are older Oppa(오빠)/(Onni)언니/Hyung형/Nuna 누나
depending on whether you are a boy or girl.

Your older sister/GIRLfriends who are older than you: 언니 *onni
Your older brother/GUY friends who are older than you: 오빠 *oppa
You are a boy (남자)..........
You call
Your older sister/GIRLfriends who are older than you: 누나 *nuna
Your older brother/GUY friends who are older than you: 형 *hyung
In Korea, guys like to be called Oppa by ("young and cute") girls. I guess they like
the idea of being an older bro who can take care of young (&cute) girls.
In Korea, some guys think it is their responsibility to take care of younger sisters and boys,
so they feel obliged to pay for dinner, lunch, dessert and so on.
But for those who already have many young siblings (=동생)
they will feel neutral for being called Oppa. (they might get tired of taking care of them.
They might think they are tired of taking care of their young siblings.
(=동생들 돌보기 귀찮다고 생각하지도 몰라.)
