In Korea, when you are invited for dinner,
you say Jal Mutke soomnidah (잘 먹겠습니다) "I am going to eat well"
before you eat. It's pretty much like Japanese, itatakimasu.
After finishing your meal,
you say Jal muggut soomnidah (잘 먹었습니다) "I ate well"
When you leave the host's house, you say
초대 해 줘서 고마워 (informal)
Chodae hae joouhsuh gomawuh
초대 해 줘서 고마워요 (formal)
Chodae hae joouhsuh gomawuhyo
